- Have a Plan B.
- Aim for 85% instead of 100%.
- Do things that don't cost money.
- Wear shoes that don't give blisters.
- Ask for help when you're overwhelmed.
- Look at your options. You may not like them, but you have them.
- Accept that nobody wants to be fixed to meet someone else's expectations.
- Heed the doctors' recommendation and take an (age-specific) one-a-day vitamin to get the nutrients your body needs to keep going.
- Decide which battles are worth your time and effort.
- Know your margins and stay within them.
