Obama Got Osama

I feel like somebody dipped me in Elmer's glue and stuck me onto the CNN screen.

We were changing channels last night, when the words "Breaking News" grabbed our attention, and Wolf Blitzer was telling viewers to stay tuned as the President was going to be making an important national-security announcement.  There was no doubt something historic and monumental was about to be revealed.

After months of secret intelligence planning, President Obama yesterday ordered a Navy SEALS assault mission in Pakistan that killed Al Quaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden  This morning the free world rejoices, yet understands that terrorism is still out there.  As one announcer said last night, it's like cutting off the head of a worm.  The worm may grow another head.

What a goose-bump sight it is to watch people gather around the White House, chanting "USA," waving American flags, and singing the National Anthem.  That shows the world the real America.  Joined as one.  Strong and free.  Brave and determined.  Courageous and committed.

Bin Laden's body was buried at sea.  He has been wiped off the face of the Earth.  Justice has been done.

"Many are the plans in a person's heart,
but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."
Proverbs 19:21 NIV, 2011
